A revolutionary solution for women with pelvic joint pain

Every year, thousands of women suffer from pelvic joint pain in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. Limitations in everyday life can be a major challenge, but now an innovative solution is being developed that can help women regain their mobility and quality of life. YLVA is a new, Norwegian-developed pelvic belt that offers a significant improvement compared to traditional alternatives.

Together Tech's contribution to the YLVA project:

  • Idea development and construction
  • Material development
  • Textile design
  • Prototyping

From personal experience to innovative product

Behind YLVA is entrepreneur and startup Renate Tonstad Flaten, who has experience with pelvic problems herself. With her market knowledge and commitment to women's health and social development, she wanted to create a solution for women in the same situation. Her vision is that women should be able to live an active life without restrictions – work, exercise, socialize and move freely without pain.

"Together Tech's expertise in materials development, product design and usability has been invaluable in improving the prototype and creating a more ergonomic and functional product."

A collaboration that drives innovation

To take the next step and further develop her prototype, Renate looked for a development partner with the right skills and commitment. She found Together Tech, who quickly put together a product development team specialized in design, material development and sustainable innovation.

Together, they have further developed the prototype through a smooth and solution-oriented collaboration, despite the geographical distances between Norway and Sweden.

New technology for optimal fit and support

The YLVA pelvic belt stands out with its innovative buckle function, which makes it easy for the user to adjust the pressure on the hip. Many existing pelvic belts are difficult to adjust correctly, which leads to the user receiving insufficient support. With YLVA, use becomes easier, more efficient and more adapted to individual needs.

Sustainability in focus

Both Renate and Together Tech have had sustainability as an important aspect in the development of YLVA. Through smart design and a flexible construction, they have created a pelvic belt that is not only functional but also sustainable from several perspectives.

Now YLVA is facing the next phase – commercialization. The product has already shown great potential and could soon help women take back their everyday lives, without having to worry about pain and limitations. With the YLVA pelvic belt, more women can have an active and pain-free everyday life.
